Please see the poster on the notice board in the porch about this day of reflection with Bishop Brian. The subject is BECOMING A MORE COMPASSIONATE, CARING COMMUNITY.
July 27th – August 4th
With just over three months before we set out bookings have been coming in for the annual Diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes so that the plane is already three quarters full, whilst the train is half full. Perhaps the reduced prices this year have made the pilgrimage a little more attractive! This year the Bishop of Lourdes invites all pilgrimages to reflect on the ‘Our Father,’ and this great prayer will be the theme of our liturgies during the week. The pilgrimage also provides an opportunity to celebrate the Marian Year of prayer announced by Bishop Mark at his installation last October. Booking forms and details of the pilgrimage can be found on the pilgrimage website at www.shrewsburypilgrimage.co.uk or by calling 07773324264 or writing to the Pilgrimage Office, St Peter’s Presbytery, 16, Green lane Hazel Grove Stockport SK74EA. We would particularly welcome nurses to join our medical team but all are invited to join this annual diocesan occasion. May we remind our regular pilgrims to book as soon as possible and if they are volunteering to help they should let us know by the end of April that they intend to travel with us this year. Bookings for the pilgrimage will be accepted as long as there is space up until mid July.
