Farewell to Father Martin

A farewell ditty from the choir

Martin, Martin, what are we going to do?
You’re departing just when we got used to you!
You preach with great zeal and power,
For hour, after hour, after hour!
But when you’re brief, there’s great relief!
We’ll get home in a week or two!

Martin, Martin, what are we going to do?
You’re departing just when we got used to you!
You sing with a manner holy,
But very, very slowly!
And then we find you’re way behind
and we just have to wait for you!

Martin, Martin, what are we going to do?
You’re departing just when we got used to you!
May God bless your new endeavour.
And may you never, ever,
Forget Saint Clare’s in all your prayers
– And then we’ll do the same for you!

Farewell to Father Martin

A FAREWELL DITTY FROM THE CHOIR

1. Martin, Martin, what are we going to do?
You're departing just when we've got used to you!
You preach with great zeal and power,
For hour, after hour, after hour!
But when you're brief, there's great relief!
We'll get home in a week or two!
2. Martin, Martin, what are we going to do?
You're departing just when we've got used to you!
Sou sing with a manner holy,
But very, very slowly!
And then we find you're way behind
and we just have to wait for you!
3. Martin, Martin, what are we going to do?
You're departing just when we've got used to you!

Friday Evenings During Lent

If, like me,  you haven’t been to Stations of the Cross many times before – or even at all – it is never too late to experience meeting the people that met and accompanied Jesus on the Road to Calvary.

Please join us. We start with Mass, followed by Way of the Cross and a quiet time before the Lord Jesus exposed in the Blessed Sacrament, while Fr Martin will be available for Confessions or for a spiritual chat/direction until 9pm
